Today’s LOSR (c) – head high, mixed up but fun… the sun came out and there were waves to be had! Just me and one kid who said he had a late starting school day.

Today’s LOSR (c) – oh, I’d say 2-to-5 foot, nice and glassy, water is butt cold again though. A tad on the inconsistent side but should be improving as the new swell arrives?

offshores and sunny

Today’s Locals Only Surf Report [LOSR (c)]: chilly before the sun came up, as the offshores were blowing hard… but it got sunny and warmed up. Surf was head high with a few that were 2 foot bigger than that. A bit bumpy due to the wind; only 2 guys out. Both of us got held up in the lip a few times, and took a few set waves on the head – but also caught a bunch of waves. Fun-0-meter: VG.

Today’s LOSR (c) – a very pretty morning, offshore winds and head high surf. Not too crowded at first but enough guys were showing up that we moved one break south, where the three of us took turns. Had a great time…. Happy friday!

My latest board – check out the Beautiful fins by John Cherry – finmaker extraodinare… and the (as always) most excellent glass job by my friends at Moonlight glassing….

Sunday a.m. LOSR (c) update – bumpy out there due to a passing storm front. Occasional head high sets. 2 guys out for dawn patrol…I think the rain kept some folks in their cars, ha ha why do you think they call it a WETsuit…

Monday a.m. LOSR (c) update – victory at sea out there. just barely “desperation surf” if you had to go and felt like paddling a LOT. 8 feet at 8 seconds kind of surf… nobody out!

Tuesday a.m. LOSR (c) update – about as windy as it gets around here… onshore to boot. A good day for kitesurfing!

Today’s LOSR(c) – local buoy has gone from 4 feet to 13 feet (at 15 second intervals ) in the past 24 hours. With a full moon, the 7 foot high tide is making it pretty ugly at the moment, but there is definitely some size out there.

Monday morning LOSR (c) update: pretty fun out there, although it was quite possible to be in the wrong place at the wrong time (guess how I know that??)…. much much more organized than yesterday. Faces around 6-8 foot with a few sneakers…

Today’s LOSR (c) – the tide was too high, but that will change. Beautiful morning with light offshores and sunshine – a bit chilly tho. Waves in the chest high range with a few bigger ones. Should be fun later today…as long as the wind stays down.

Thursday a.m. LOSR (c) update – size is up, head high anyway – but the tide was far too high. Beach = close outs only. Should be good in a couple hours…

Today’s LOSR (c) – well it looked worse than it was out there this morning… there were enough waves to stay busy, in the waist-t0-chest range. Nothing great but it was surfable and uncrowded — 3 or 4 at most. The size should pick up soon but the wind may too…

Saturday a.m. LOSR (c) update – bigger, and bumpier. In the 5-9 foot range, pretty mixed up from the storm front that passed through last night. Fun but a lot of work getting out!!
